(SSL)— a national women’s empowerment and leadership organization with over 4,000 members— is proud to announce the 5th Annual Empowerment and Leadership Conference’s keynote speakers. Themed “The SASSY Revolution: Dream it! Live it! Be It!”, the 2-day conference will take place on Friday-Saturday, September 9th -10th, 2016, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center (1950 Eisenhower Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316). Each year, SSL honors prominent women who have redefined the rules of leadership and success. This year’s 2016 SSL distinguished International Women’s Leadership honorees are Kathleen Cannon, CEO of United Way-Broward; Captain Patricia Cole (USN Retired), who currently serves as the Deputy Director, Transition Center for Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) in Washington D.C.; Peggy Fucci, President/CEO of OneWorld Properties, an acclaimed international real estate strategist and broker; Constance Jones, Emmy Nominated Award-Winning News Anchor/TV Personality & Reporter at WPLG-ABC Local 10 News in Miami; Dr. Traci Lynn, top direct selling expert and Founder/CEO of Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry; and Mary Wong, President of Office Depot Foundation.
During the conference, 1,000 SASSY and professional women (and smart men) from around the globe can expect a general session, breakout sessions, an exhibitors’ hall, and a silent auction benefiting women in the military through United Way of Broward County-Mission United. Karina Iglesias from NBC’s #1 TV show, “The Voice” will provide live entertainment. 101.5 Lite FM’s morning show host, Julie Guy, will emcee for the 3rd year in a row.
Celebrity keynote speakers are: Lisa Oz, writer, producer, entrepreneur and current editor at large of the new Hearst magazine, Dr. Oz, The Good Life, and host of the Lisa Oz Show; Mark Sanborn, corporate leadership guru and author of the international bestseller “The Fred Factor;” and SSL Founder Dr. Elizabeth King, Chief Inspiration Officer, wellness expert, author, and motivational speaker. Among the 23 noted speakers and panelists are Captain Lee Rosbach, from Bravo’s series, “Below Deck”, Dr. Lanalee Araba Sam, Director of Women’s Health at Florida Medical Center and Barb Schmidt, Founder of Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life.
