At 40 she divorced and started a new career in retail banking and moved into business and corporate banking.
Today she spearheads CapitalOne’s Florida Expansion, focusing on Miami – Broward – Palm Beach County.
Her passion has always been women and children – Empowering women to be the best version of themselves and never having to rely on a man or another woman for happiness and success. Preparing children to be productive adults through education, mentoring and LOVE. Maggie has worked with organizations such as Take Stock in Children, where she was recognized in Miami Dade County in 2010 for her contributions in mentoring and promoting the organization. She has been a member of the Fort Lauderdale Women Council for the third year and is on the board of Bowtie Kids.
Through the years she has focused on educating women about the importance of “financial literacy and success”. The importance of women preparing themselves for a healthy financial life by saving and investing on themselves. This will be the theme of discussion today.
Woman must not accept, she must challenge. She must not be awed by that which has been built up around her; but must reverence that women in her which struggles for expression. – Margaret Sanger
