The Heidi Dennis Wonder Woman Scholarship is a one-time, need-based scholarship that provides financial assistance and mentorship to women who are pursuing higher education or vocational studies in order to support themselves and their families. The scholarship was founded in honor of Heidi Dennis, who served as chairwoman for Suits, Stilettos and Lipstick Foundation for 6 years. Heidi was a local icon and a business and community leader. Her dedication to women’s empowerment stretched throughout her entire life.
Heidi was the epitome of resilience and leadership. Even through multiple bouts with breast cancer, she always found ways to make a difference. Sadly Heidi lost her 2.5 year battle in 2020, but through this scholarship and the many lives that she touched, her legacy will live on forever. Fortunately, Heidi was able to meet the very first recipient of the scholarship.
This $1500 grant may be applied to education-related expenses such as tuition, books and supplies, testing and graduation fees, and more. As of 2022, we are excited to announce that all recipients of the scholarship will be assigned a mentor for a year.
Multiple scholarships will be awarded every year. Applications must be received by the deadline to be considered.
