The R.I.S.E Mentorship program is an integral part of Project Kids. Our goal is to empower at-risk children aged 11-17 and build a mindset equipped with resiliency and leadership skills. Our goal is to shape at-risk kids into Resourceful, Independent, Strategic and Empowered adults.
Many at-risk children grow up without positive influences within and outside their homes, these children may end up feeling disconnected from their communities, unable to envision anything outside the life they see around them, and have higher likelihood of unemployment, incarceration, and even death.
Mentoring builds an early foundation for impactful, positive connections for the mentees and a purpose for the mentor. Positively mentored children see improvements in academic, social and community engagements and develop leadership and creative skills for empowerment.
