SSL is thrilled to introduce the Emcee for our Scholarship Awards Ceremony and SSL Day Celebration on August 25th, Saira Anwer, Reporter of WPLG Local 10 News! We are so excited to have Saira join us for a night to remember! Saira is two-time Emmy-nominated reporter and comes to South Florida from Madison, Wisconsin, where she was working as a reporter and anchor. Saira earned Emmy nominations for storm coverage of Janesville, Wisconsin, and a feature on teachers at a unique school within a children's hospital. She also received an award from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for excellence in live reporting.Saira was born and raised in Galesburg, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish. She is a proud member of Delta Zeta sorority.
