Have you ever heard the expression “things happen for a reason”? It could not be truer than in the case of how Suits, Stilettos and Lipstick began. Hi, I am Dr. Elizabeth King, founder and CEO of Suits, Stilettos and Lipstick. I want to share our story without formality or fanfare because our story is about being passionate, scared, genuine, somewhat irrational, a lot insane and did I say “irrational”? That in itself is ironic and almost comical because the 2 founders are 2 psychotherapists. At this point, I have to divulge that accepting our humanism and laughing at ourselves is something that Yvonne and I do very well. It actually may be why she and I, up to this day, have never had an argument even under the most stressful situations. And girl, when you build a business the way we did, “stressful” is an understatement. (I’ll save some of those stories for our book.)
Anyway, I wish I could tell you that we spent years planning and gathering money, talent and resources to launch this company. I even wish that I could tell you that the person that has helped me create and build this company
