19th Annual John & Elizabeth’s Toy Drive

We can’t think of a better way to kick off the holiday season than to be together (virtually) having fun and making a difference for children!

For the first time ever Dr. King will share their secret recipe for their infamous John-El-tini! Join her for a step-by-step mixing class.

Also partake in special performances, raffles, holiday hat contest, and a whole lot of fun while raising money to put a smile on a child’s face this holiday season.

Raffle: Purchase your raffle tickets before the event on this link https://sslwomen.org/event/raffle/. You do NOT need to be present to win and you do not need to buy a ticket to the event to enter. Drawing will be held on Dec. 9th. All prizes must be picked up by Dec. 16th. We do not cover the cost of shipping if you prefer to have your basket shipped.

Marina Laurendi


Marina Laurendi is a singer-songwriter, recording artist, musician, and actress currently based out of Western New York. Raised on classic rock and show tunes, Marina has performed Off-Broadway and at regional theatres around the East Coast. She was last seen in the world premiere of Jerry Lee Lewis Versus Jerry Lee Lewis at the historic Cohoes Music Hall near Albany, NY. Her love for performing led her to NYC where she lived for the past four years and where she recorded her debut single “Over You”. She released her second single “Water Me” in May of 2020 which earned her a feature on Big Sound Music Blog and various Spotify playlists. Her unique style of music is nostalgic, moody, and cinematic with a special emphasis on the poetry. Her songwriting journey continues as she works on her debut EP. Stewart Lapayowker


By day, Stewart is a lawyer helping buyers and sellers of private jets, but by night he often performs his original comedy material to raise money for worthy causes, including at the Improv for Debbie’s Dream Foundation Curing Stomach Cancer. Originally from Philadelphia, he moved to South Florida in 1995.  His wife, Michele, is a gynecologist in Plantation, and his three (3) children (who provide a wealth of his material) all attended NSU University School (the youngest graduating in the Spring). In 2016, he was recognized as Humanitarian of the Year by the Board of Directors of Debbie’s Dream Foundation.
