Monalisa Gangopadhyay is a business analyst with a financial technology company.
She received an M.A. and a Ph.D. in international relations from Florida International University, Miami. Her areas of research are gender, feminist theory, Indian religious nationalism and globalization. Her dissertation examines the impact of Hindu nationalism and globalization on urban middle class Indian women.
Monalisa also holds a graduate degree in journalism from Temple University, Philadelphia, and an undergraduate degree in architecture from Sushant School of Art and Architecture in Haryana, India.
Monalisa lives in South Florida with her husband, Sanjay Roy; son, Veer; and dog, Jagger.
