About Lisa


Lisa is a writer, producer and entrepreneur. She is currently Editor at Large of the new Hearst magazine, Dr. Oz, The Good Life, and host of the Lisa Oz Show on ZLiving TV. She also hosted her own radio show on Sirius XM.  In addition to authoring the New York Times bestseller US: Transforming Ourselves and the Relationships that Matter Most, Lisa co-authored five of the New York Times bestselling YOU: The Owner’s Manual series. 

True to her passion for food, Lisa’s latest book, The Oz Family Kitchen: More Than 100 Simple and Delicious Real-Food Recipes from Our Home to Yours, focuses on healthy, joyful eating.

With her husband, she helped found HealthCorps, a peer-mentoring, non-profit which delivers a progressive curriculum in nutrition, fitness and mental resilience, impacting over 230,000 teens in at-risk communities across the country.  

Lisa and her work have been featured in O magazine, Redbook, Esquire and Shape.  She has appeared on The ViewGood Morning AmericaFox & FriendsThe Dr. Oz Show,The Nate Berkus Show, Access Hollywood Live, Good Day LA, The Joy Beyhar Show, Extra, The Wendy Williams Show and The Chew.

Lisa was born in Philadelphia, PA and received her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College. She attended Columbia University’s Union Theological Seminary.  She’s been married to Mehmet Oz for 27 years and together they have four children.
